Buck is back this week and we get his take on hunting. From there it’s the usual frolicking fun of the show. Is Teddy Roosevelt the original Chuck Norris? Pesky Ostriches are in the news again. Halloween costume talk? It’s there. A real life ghost story from one of our listeners comes in, our real life super hero remembers to “just say no,” and we take a look at the news that amuses us.
Music used in the show:
- Rock ‘n’ Roll Train by AC/DC
- Love is the Only Way by Robert Randolph and the Family Band
- Old Man and Me by Hootie and the Blowfish
-Axel F by Harold Faltermeyer
- MmmBop by Hanson
- Movin’ On by Bad Company
- I Can See Clearly Now (The Rain is Gone) Performed by Geoff Moore and The Distance

Another show that made me laugh so hard I was crying!
Thank you for reading part of my email. First name pronounced wrong (shah-na) but last name pronounced right (that never happens so congrats!). You made me a rock star to my kids.
“Big Honkin’ and Buck said your name on their show!”
Yup, I am officially the coolest mom ever!

Big Honkin,
That…Was…Awsome…I don’t think anybody else could have ready my story any better. I have referred all of my former college buddies to listen to your show.
One thing on the sidenote in my email. I put that they had to stop escavation of the school to pull the bodies out. It actually should have been rumor has it that they had to stop escavation….. although it is the common belief, we could not find hard evidence to confirm, but most of us took it as fact. I really need to proof read better before sending…

Great show guys! I was brought to you guys by my former roomate and ghost story author David Grimes. I was one of the roomates who had a similar experience to Dave earlier on, but I left the room after one year. Dave’s story is dead on. I had almost the same experience. My girlfriend (now wife) and I were on our side of the room and saw the door open and close. We then saw Dave’s light come on in his section, then the television turn on. We then could see his shadow on the ceiling as he packed (we were leaving for fall break the next day). This continued for awhile, until he finished, turned off the light and tv, and settled into bed. A few minutes later, Dave and our other roomate came into the room carrying food from Hardee’s. He had not been there the whole time, although we watched him pack (his shadow on the ceiling). The we realized that to turn off the tv or light, we would have had to have seen Dave..but did not. This is just one of many many experiences with the Crockett ghost that myself, Dave, and others have had. Keep up the good work guys…now that Dave has pointed me to you, I’ll catch you guys when you start streaming the show.

Another great show!! Josh was great last week, and it is good to have Buck back. He makes an excellent bank teller.

Great show, Big Honkin’, but what’s up with Buck? So many James Bond movies came out, he couldn’t keep up? There’s been two, with Daniel Craig as 007, released in 2006 and 2008. Before that, the last one with Pierce Brosnan, “Die Another Day,” was released seven years ago in 2002. That’s been too many? I don’t really think so.

I think Buck saying he couldn’t keep up with the Bond movies that have come out was his nice way of saying he really couldn’t care less about the James Bond franchise. Not everyone has to be a fan.
Awesome episode, guys!

Great as usual guys….my husband is now a fan too!

You are the funniest guy on the air. I laugh so hard at this show. Buck and Josh are great, too! Aduwha?

Geez, just listened to the show, and thanks for taking the potshots at me, guys. Suppose I should just grow thicker skin, but all I did was comment on something I heard. I didn’t think I was being that snarky. You guys just lost a listener. Thanks a lot.

Really? Well, ok then. I agree with you…you should grow thicker skin.

just caught up on the last few episodes, and maybe hulkmash should grow thicker skin…we all should, but how do you expect the guy to react when you put him down on the air and question his sexuality without knowing the person at all…not cool, big honkin, not cool at all. you guys owe him an apology. god, I wonder if this is how you treat anyone who brings up something you guys disagree with…if so, count me out.

I think that the Big Honkin Show listeners must understand that we will poke fun at anyone! If you listen to Steve and I, we are the that way to each other. I took HulkSmashNow’s first comments to be a witty stab at my lack of James Bond knowledge and thought it was extremely humorous. I enjoyed it enough to mention it on air. I understand how our “roast comedy” humor can be taken offensively, but that’s just us. No hard feelings toward anyone we “take popshots” at.

Thanks for your replies, Buck and Steve. I was just a little caught off guard by your on-air comments, and totally overreacted, which I suppose we are all apt to do sometimes. Of course, I won’t stop listening to the show! You are good guys who deliver a great show. Take care.
